Horizon Hearing & Tinnitus

Lenire Tinnitus Treatment in Walla Walla, WA

Bimodal Neuromodulation for Tinnitus Relief

FDA-Approved Lenire Treatment

Lenire is an FDA-approved medical device that uses bimodal neuromodulation to treat tinnitus—the perception of ringing, buzzing, or other sounds when no external sound is present. This innovative treatment combines customized sound therapy delivered through Bluetooth headphones with gentle electrical stimulation via a tongue-tip device. By stimulating both the auditory system and the tongue simultaneously, Lenire works to retrain the brain’s response to tinnitus signals over time.

Horizon Hearing & Tinnitus is proud to offer Lenire to patients throughout the Walla Walla Valley and surrounding regions, providing access to this groundbreaking treatment without the need to travel to larger metropolitan areas. Real-world studies have shown a clinical meaningful improvement of tinnitus in up to 91.5% of users. The treatment is completed at home with two 30-minute sessions daily, typically for a minimum of 12 weeks. We provide comprehensive support throughout your treatment journey, including initial fitting, follow-up appointments, and ongoing guidance to ensure optimal results. Relief from tinnitus is on the horizon.

From Evaluation to Relief

Your Lenire Treatment Journey

Your Lenire treatment begins with a comprehensive tinnitus evaluation at our Walla Walla office. This assessment includes a complete hearing test and specialized tinnitus measurements to determine if Lenire is appropriate for your specific situation. We require a recent hearing test completed within six months to establish your baseline auditory function and tinnitus characteristics.

Once approved for Lenire treatment, we’ll schedule your device fitting appointment. During this visit, we’ll customize the Lenire settings specifically for your tinnitus profile and ensure you’re comfortable using the device. We’ll provide detailed instructions on the treatment protocol and answer all your questions.

The Lenire device is yours to use at home, providing the flexibility to complete your therapy sessions on your schedule. Throughout your treatment, our team remains available to provide support and address any concerns, ensuring you have the best possible experience and outcomes.

Your Questions Answered

Frequently asked questions

We understand you may have questions about hearing aid fittings, what to expect during your appointment, and how we ensure your devices work perfectly for your lifestyle. Dr. Whitney Jacky, Au.D., CH-TM, with extensive experience in audiology and tinnitus management, has compiled answers to the most frequently asked questions.

Lenire is an FDA-approved device that uses bimodal neuromodulation to treat tinnitus. It combines sound therapy delivered through headphones with gentle electrical pulses to the tongue via a Tonguetip device. This dual stimulation helps retrain your brain's response to tinnitus over time, reducing the perception of ringing or buzzing sounds.

Real-world studies have shown a clinical meaningful improvement of tinnitus in up to 91.5% of users. Results vary by individual, but many patients report reduced tinnitus volume, decreased annoyance, and improved quality of life after completing the treatment protocol.

The standard Lenire protocol involves two 30-minute treatment sessions per day for a minimum of 12 weeks. Most patients begin noticing improvements within the first few weeks of consistent use. Treatment is completed in the comfort of your own home.

No referral is necessary to schedule a Lenire consultation at Horizon Hearing & Tinnitus. However, we do require a comprehensive hearing test completed within the past six months before beginning Lenire treatment.

Insurance coverage for Lenire varies by plan. Lenire is not typically covered as a standard benefit, but some flexible spending accounts (FSA) or health savings accounts (HSA) may be used. Our team will help you understand your coverage options and explore payment alternatives.

Lenire treatment is non-invasive and generally well-tolerated. Some users may experience temporary changes in their tinnitus perception during the initial weeks of treatment or mild tingling sensations on the tongue during use. These effects typically diminish as you become accustomed to the device.

Lenire is appropriate for most adults experiencing bothersome tinnitus. However, certain conditions may exclude some individuals from treatment. Your comprehensive evaluation will determine if Lenire is the right option for your specific situation.

Vince CannoneVince Cannone ★★★★★ I cannot say enough great things about Horizon Hearing & Tinnitus. This is, without a doubt, the best doctor’s office experience I have ever had.At 67 years old, I hadn't experienced hearing issues until recently. Honestly, I think a phobia of having something visible hanging off my ears kept me away from hearing tests for many years. I finally met Dr. Jacky, and I am so glad I did. She makes you feel like you are her only patient; her genuine concern and passion for people are evident immediately. She introduced me to the newest technology, I personally call them "micro buds." They are manufactured by Oticon and fit right inside the ear, they are unbelievably comfortable, and you can hardly see them. There is nothing on the outside of the ear showing that you’re wearing them. If you’ve been avoidant like I was, I urge you to see this team. There is now a simple, invisible solution. The staff makes you feel like family. Michael was my first contact and was incredible, taking all the time in the world to answer my questions. Emily is equally wonderful at the front desk and makes you feel so welcome. Finally, Rose, the hearing aid assistant, is amazing with follow-up care and making sure every adjustment is perfect.Don't let a phobia hold you back. See Dr. Jacky and her team, they are truly amazing!!!Bill HenryBill Henry ★★★★★ DR Jacky Whitney and her staff are Angels from Heaven. This was by far the best Dr office I have ever been to.
