Before stepping in as Office Coordinator at Horizon Hearing & Tinnitus, Michael spent years as an educator dedicated to making school a welcoming place for every learner. He holds a B.A. in Social Sciences: Secondary Education from Lewis-Clark State College, graduating Cum Laude, with minors in History, Psychology, and Teaching Technologies. He is certified to teach in Idaho and Washington and remains an active member of several education honor societies.
Michael taught in general education, special education, and vocational programs—from middle school classrooms to specialized transition programs—collaborating with families, paraeducators, and community agencies to support students with a wide range of needs. His approach has always centered on compassion, creativity, and evidence-based practice.
Michael’s professional journey has taken him through many roles—barista, customer service lead, youth program director, and higher education assistant—each one strengthening his people-first mindset and his knack for solving problems with patience and good humor. When his wife, Dr. Jacky, decided to open Horizon Hearing & Tinnitus, Michael eagerly stepped in to support her. He is the glue that holds the whole patient experience together. From managing day-to-day operations to anticipating patient needs before they ever walk through the door, Michael ensures that everything runs smoothly so every person who visits receives the warm, attentive, and seamless care they deserve
